Muhammad al-Kumaim

A writer, literary critic and academic. Al-Kumaim is a professor at the Faculty of Arts in Sana’a University. He received a Master’s degree in semiotics from the Arabic Language Department in the Faculty of Arts in Sana’a University in 2009 and a doctorate in discourse analysis from Mohammed V University in Rabat in 2013. Al-Kumaim has published a number of articles and studies in local and Arabic newspapers and journals. He has two books in print:Poetry and Hair: Body Semiotics in Andalusian Texts and The Discourse of Poetry Anthologies: An Approach to Transcripts in Andalusian Models. He is a member of the Yemeni Writers Union.
